Flight Radar 24 - UKP154

 Here's an interesting one, messing with flight radar 24 last night I came across this flight path..

emanating from the Doncaster airport a plane seems to be "spirling" through the beautiful british countryside. 

Looking closer I spotted it was a police plane, flight number UKP154 for a Vulcanair P.68R. 

On closer inspection the plane seems to be following the M1 and then the M62 over to Hull. 

My little lad asked what they are doing, so the geek in me emailed the National Police Air service and low and behold I got a response this morning: 

Well that explains it, obviously with a plane, they are quicker than a car and can not hover like a helicopter so must travel in circles. 

Made an interesting evening thats for sure.
